1/28 – The Last of Sweden

Today was our last full day in Sweden… bitter sweet for sure. To start our last day, we headed out this morning to go test our skills at curling. For this activity, a picture is worth a thousand words, so I’ll just let my pictures do the talking… As soon as JJ Posts those pics I’ll have them posted!

After curling we had a few free hours, so I went and got all my shopping done for souvenirs for friends and family members back home! I would post pics of that… but I don’t wanna spoil the surprise for the readers back home!

Finally, after shopping, we headed out to a high class restaurant in Gothia Towers called Heaven 23! We didn’t get to choose our meals… JJ ordered us all what is called a “King Sandwich”. In my opinion, it was okay. It was a cold “sandwich”, piled with cold shrimp, mayo, veggies, fish eggs, and a breading on the bottom. Don’t get me wrong, I love shrimp, but I much prefer them warm. So while it was a fun experience to try a traditional Swedish dish, I do not think I would ever order it again.

Finally, a few of us have planned to stay up all night and write our blogs and papers so that we will be extremely tired for the plane flight home tomorrow… so that’s where I am now!

3 big takeaways

  1. Shrimp is usually good, but not ALWAYS like I had previously thought
  2. I am gonna miss this trip and the memories I have made with all my new friends
  3. Redbull winter edition is my new addiction
