1/23 -Hasselblad, ABB Robotics… AND THE HOCKEY GAMEEEE!!!!!!!!
We started our day with a trip to Hasselblad. They are a camera company that rose to fame for being the cameras used to take the pictures of the moon landing! Today was my day to navigate, so I was in charge of getting us from the Hostel to Hasselblad. I am pleased to report that I navigated us successfully with no hiccups! The visit was very cool, and I found the presentation very interesting learning about many famous images that were taken by Hasselblad cameras.
After Hasselblad, we headed out to visit ABB Robotics. It was a long and cold journey, but we made it nonetheless. Once there, we ate a delicious pork and Swedish pancake lunch! It was absolutely delicious, and the presentation was just as good! We learned a ton about all the new technologies in the Artificial Intelligence realm and augmented reality. Super cool presentation and I enjoyed learning all about the company.
After the ABB visit, we headed back to the hostel for a quick rest. It wasn’t long before we made our way out to meet Morgan and Sylvia and a great Chinese restaurant before the hockey game. Once we headed to the hockey game, I knew it was going to be my favorite part of the trip so far. The atmosphere was incredible, and the fans chant wildly for the ENTIRE GAME. It was incredible, and I bought an awesome jersey! The hometown team, the Frölunda Indians won a thrilling game with an 8 – 4 score!
3 big takeaways
- The Swedes LOVE their hockey
- I think European hockey is actually better because they have more room on the ice and it is more saced out, allowing for more scoring!
- Technology is so much more advanced than many people realize. The things that are possible through technology are like things you dream of or see in the movies. It’s incredible!
