1/24 -Valea and Xylem

Today we visited Valea, a local Law and Technology company. They work a lot with patents and trademarks, and it was really interesting to see how that business works. I really liked the presentation, which was led by the CEO of the company, Andrew Hammond.

Following the Valea visit, we had about an hour and a half of free time to go explore the huge mall of Nordstan! It was really cool, and I even found a new winter coat!

After that, we headed out to Xylem, a water solutions company. I have always been interested in the environment, so learning about a company that specializes in water renewal and conservation was really cool. I learned a lot, and will definatley be more water conscious moving forward!

After the company visits, I grabbed dinner with some friends, which consisted of ANOTHER seafood pizza, and a chocolate Creme Brulee! Following dinner, we spent the rest of the evening and night hitting a few bars with friends and enjoying O’Learys bowling and arcade games!

3 Big Takeaways

  1. Water conservation is and always will be important
  2. Law patents are actually a lot more interesting than they sound!
  3. All seafood on pizza is basically amazing and delicious
